After an exciting year at The Kinmel Arms, having received some prestigious accolades, we are thrilled to announce that we have a new experienced management team on board.
Andy Grant and Ange Walker have recently joined the Tir Prince Leisure Group team as Food & Beverage Managers. Andy, has brought his 18 years’ extensive experience from the Pen y Bryn Upper Colwyn Bay, and Ange five years in the hospitality arena also hails from the Pen y Bryn. They have both earned a large following and reputation of running a professional hospitality outfit.
Andy is excited about this move. “We think that it’s about the simple things done well are what matters. We want to maintain a friendly atmosphere in beautiful surroundings where locals, regulars and new customers can meet, eat, drink and relax. That is what being a good pub in the heart of its community is all about”, explains Andy.
Andy & Ange join head chef Simon Roberts, who, after learning his trade in The Kinmel Arms then moving away to gain more experience, has always worked at a double rosette standard with stints at Michelin star restaurants. Simon, at only 22 years old, is what we believe one of the youngest chefs at this level.
“We see our new management ethos is a return of the family friendly, village pub… at the heart of the community. With a menu packed full of quality pub food, served either in our A La Carte restaurant or in the bar”, adds Ange.
The Kinmel Arms have recently launched our popular regular community walks on a Sunday, offering free bacon sandwiches and great coffee to fuel the scenic walks that start and end at The Kinmel Arms. We can think of nothing better than a hearty walk with some breath-taking views along the way and of course, a glass of something special and a bite to eat on your return. There are lots of walks that start at The Kinmel Arms and either take you to the coast or mountains – we’ve written a walking guide to lead the way.
“You can expect more of these community events and more,” says Andy.
