Meet The Kinmel Arms Chef – Paul-Anthony Smith! Paul, looking a little more sullen than he does in the kitchen, is a food obsessive! That’s not an understatement! Talk to Paul for just a few minutes and you’ll understand what I mean.
Paul-Anthony is passionate about epicurean cooking – classic flavour pairings but done in his own creative style. “It’s always about flavour”, says Paul. “I love good food but, to me, that means accessible dishes. Dishes that people recognise and love at a price they can afford.”
Paul started in The Kinmel Arms a few months ago and has really found a home here. It’s a perfect fit! He’s keen to create a sophisticated menu that doesn’t forget its roots as a proper village pub. With a background of working with some of the best and in some of the best restaurants, Paul knows what matters:
“I have always loved The Kinmel Arms – it’s always been about excellent food served in a homely setting! I’m a foodie but I have no pretensions – good food is good food!”
